HELLO NOVEMBER

November came way to fast, time flies when you're working and having fun as hard as these students. Their progression so far is incredible, all ages and classes. So fun to see and they do it with the biggest smile on their faces!! SO grateful to have our amazing staff, students and parents at the studio. Many thanks to all.

October has been such a busy month! DAC students have been performing all over Washington County. Special Thanks to Staheli Farms for having us out there this year.

Some of DAC's dancers also performaned at Tuacahn's Thriller opening night! They did a KILLER JOB

FILM Festival Absolutely beyond proud of students who were involved in the Guerrilla Film Festival. Camrie, Emma, Marco and Sierra way to go on your 1^st choreography piece. To all of our little hip hoppers, way to rock!!

Payson High School Dance Company came to St George this month for a Master Class with Maria and Brittany! We had such a BLAST with these girl, great talent and amazing personalities! Thanks Girls








 

DAC's 1st Halloween Party was a success, thank you for joining us in the fun! Jamie Jones Tyler and Malika Warren did such an AMAZING Job decorating and getting treat ready! Thank you for always being there.

Fundraiser performance Nov 11^th 6:00pm @Vista Charter School. Yes it is for another children s theater group in town but we support everyone in the arts.

Jubilee Of Tress Nov 17^th @Dixie Center, or performance time is 4:30pm and call is 4pm.

The Pulse on Tour is coming soon Nov 19^th & 20^th going to be an INCREDIBLE experience! Dancing two full days with some of the worlds best choreographers. DAC is bringing 13 students this year ages 9-20. We are going to be performing Ghost in the Showcase Performance on the night of the 19th, with a Rep from AGT on the judges panel.

MASTER CLASS: NOVEMBER 5^th with Aaron Turner and Janelle Jahen starting at 11am!

Dixie Direct:That's right DAC is in 2011 book. If you are interested in purchasing your book we have them for sale in Studio A. This is a GREAT fundraiser for the studio!!


Musical Theater:
We are getting very close to the Performance, time to kick it up a notch or two!!
All blocking, learning songs, choreography, etc...is almost done. Cast should all be off book, please help your child read/learn lines on a daily basis. We will continue to work with the kids to learn characterization so they can really become their character. YouTube links have been sent via email with breakdowns of choreography, this should be extremely helpful in practicing. Please let us know if need further video's.

Alvin and the Chipettes performance will be held @Vista Charter School in Ivins, UT.

SPOOKTACULAR MONTH

Seeming as though Oct is almost done I had to post about DAC's happenings. Couldn't be more proud of all the students, dancers and musical theater kids! Way to get out there in the community and give it your all.

We have done several performances at Stahlie Farms on Saturday's this month. With just a few numbers from both Musical Theater and Dancers the crowd has absolutely loved what we showed. At the end of each perfromance we gathered all the kids in the audience and had them join us on stage for a Demonstartion class. Huge Hit!!

Taste of Dixie Performance was incredible. They have all worked so hard and it is really paying off. Performing their hearts out.

DAC dancers opened pre-show for Tuacahn's Thriller, out of this world. Seriously blew people away, with our Witches, Mummy's and Most of all Ghost and B-Boy/Girl numbers.

We  have one last performance this month at the farm! All students are invited to join us and have a  hollowing time! We are going to add the mini and jr hip hop to this performance on top of the older kids dance munbers!!

Sat Oct 29th DAC is having our first full studio Halloween Party! Going to be a blast. Starts at 5pm. Lots of fun games, contest, dancing (of course) and best of all spooky yummy treats. $2 per person or bring a dish to share as your enterance fee!!

Oct 31st we will only be holding classes until 5pm that way everyone can go out and enjopy, trick or treat etc....

Santa Clara Swiss Days Great to all DAC performers. Way to go on your first performance of the semester.

Taste of Dixie Oct 8^th in the Vernon Worthen Park, nce time is 2:30pm. Students call time is 2pm dressed and ready to perform your heart out.

STAHELI FARM PERFORMANCES: Thank you to all students who were able to come out for their opening Fall event, it was a little on the crazy side, small rough stage, change in show order, but they performed their hearts out and BIG smiles on their faces!

Oct 15^th & 22^nd All Musical Theater students and DAC dancers (age 3-10) will perform at 4:30pm call time 4pm dressed and ready to go.

Oct 15^th, 22^nd & 28^th DAC Dancers who are in Ghost and Mummy dances will perform at 8pm those nights, call 7:30

BRING A FRIEND WEEK extended through end of semester. Friends are invited to come throughout that whole week to any dance classes for FREE!!

Musical Theater:

Please remember to ALWAYS BRING YOUR SCRIPTS dress comfortable (no jeans or flip flops,bring water, snack, pencil, and a smile!

A Script and CD with the Show music has been sent home with the kids please encourage them to listen to it regularly and practice choreography.

We seem to be struggling with remembering vocal and choreography. NEW APPROACH Each class we will video all new material and send via email on a secure youtube account. Very important for them to be able to watch quite a bit throughout the week

Alvin and the Chipettes is going to be a Fabulous show with hard work, practice and their AMAZING ENERGY it will blow you away!
